I loved this novella, especially the second half. It was exciting and gripping and sometimes tense, and had basically all of the components of the Skyward series that I love the most (battles, diplomacy, friendship, worldbuilding, the amazing slugs). I do question why Evershore was released after Cytonic because I really wish I had read it first - Cytonic spoils a major event in the novella.
