Peter's Perfect Prayer Place by Alex Kendrick, Stephen Kendrick
5.0

This is such a cute book about prayer! The little boy goes to all these different places trying to figure out where is a good place for quiet prayer time, but everywhere is too loud, too busy, too sleepy, or too high up. In the end, the boy learns that God can hear him praying no matter where he is.

I loved the illustrations in this book! The art is charming and looks very professional and polished. The expressions on the little boys face play a big part in the story.

The story is told in rhyme from the little boy's point of view. He sees his parents praying, and wants to have a special place to pray like they do. It's great to see him imitating his parents in their spiritual habits! I like that the story arc is well-developed too. The boy has a question about prayer, and then he learns something about how to talk God, and when and where. He learned a little bit about Who God really is, and was able to grow as a Christian.

This book has Bible verses about prayer and some discussion questions at the back, along with a prayer chart, stickers, and a list of things to pray for. I'm so impressed with this book, and I think it would be a wonderful way to teach children about prayer!

This would be a wonderful gift for children aged 5-10.
