Roommating by Meredith Schorr
4.0

Roommating by Meredith Schorr is the definition of a cozy, feel good read. It’s soft, sweet, and full of charm—the kind of book that wraps you in a warm hug. While it’s marketed as a rom com, it leans more into women’s fiction with its focus on personal growth, friendships, and family dynamics. That said, I still adored it!

Sabrina and Adam’s dynamic is built on a foundation of genuine friendship, playful chemistry, and just the right amount of slow burn tension. Adam is an easy to love guy—kind, funny, and completely devoted to his grandmother, Marcia. Sabrina is relatable and easy to root for, and their journey from accidental roommates to something more unfolds naturally, making it all the more satisfying.

The real standout here, though, is Marcia. She adds so much heart to the story, and her relationship with both Adam and Sabrina gives the book an emotional depth that makes it more than just a romance. The humor is light and engaging, and while the competition for the apartment brings in some fun chaos, it never takes away from the warmth of the story.

If you're looking for a low angst, feel good read with a strong emphasis on connection and personal growth (plus a swoony, bookish love interest), Roommating is a perfect pick!

Thank you to NetGalley, Meredith Schorr, and Forever for the eARC of this book.
