Dragon Haven by Robin Hobb
3.0

Dragon Haven should be renamed to The Dragon Haven of HORMONES, literally everybody in this book has got one thing on their minds and it ain’t dragons. I thought it was hilarious tbh, and I loved *most* of the pairings, but it did admittedly get ridiculous at times and it’s not something I’ve really seen Hobb do in over ten books! Of course there are relationships and sex scattered throughout the different trilogies but this one probably has more than the ten previous combined!
.
When people weren’t trying to get one another into bed (or the forest floor, or the ship’s bunk, or a 4 foot rowing boat), we got to learn so much more about why we’re all here: THE DRAGONS! I love Hobb’s dragons. I can’t decide on a favourite, but I do love the three queens Sintara, Heeby and Relpda!
.
Hobb also explores more deeply the fascinating relationships that develop between dragons and keepers, and I cannot wait to see more in the next two books!
.
Apart from a really long boat journey, a lot of sexual tension, some badass dragon shit, and two characters not communicating properly so that they were barrelling towards a huge misunderstanding, I must admit not a great deal happens in this one, but it was entertaining nonetheless
