I had to sleep on this one and I'm glad I did. This was a super interesting read. Stéphane Breitwieser isn't just any art thief, he is THE art thief. Just super casually going about, doing crime, taking art. The most prolific art thief of all time.

I loved the photos of the art at the end of the book. I think they would have been even better spread throughout the book so we could have a visual as we were joining Stéphane on his crime spree. I would have also loved photos of him and Anne-Catherine. They're features are described well but after all, these are real people.

Something that kept nagging at me throughout this read, is that I really wanted Anne-Catherine's version and commentary. Not just after the fact, which would have been fine, but along the way. Stéphane is clearly not completely in touch with reality. And there has to have been more to their relationship he's not telling us. Anne-Catherine states that he was abusive, which one lawyer easily discredits with one silly home video? Come on. I need more.

But also this book was good and you should read it if you like crime.
