The overactive imagination of a bored housewife that reads too many true crime novels? Or a sinister stranger in their quiet, used to be safe, southern town?
“The one thing I’ve learned from all of these books is that it pays to be paranoid.”
This book made me laugh, cringe, and gag many times. And while the women are very stereotyped in this piece (I’m from the south, I should know!), they also show great resilience and strength.
