This book has a very sweet and gentlemanly hero! He is fighting the war in the colonies and becomes injured. When he awakens he finds he has a wife, but cannot recall months of his life.

The heroine gets a letter that her brother is injured in the war. Left in England with a scheming cousin trying to take advantage of her, she travels across the Atlantic. Instead of her brother, she finds his handsome friend unconscious in the hospital. She says she’s he’s wife to help him recover and to get information.

So I actually really disliked this book
