The Secret
by Rhonda Byrne
I've never been so conflicted about a book in my life.
Where do I even start? I picked up this book because in December I decided that I wanted to read more of the self growth books that I put into TBR that have been sitting there for the longest time. I chose this one to read first because I remembered watching the movie in middle school and feeling like it changed my lie. I wanted to see if I felt the same.
I in now way loved every part of this book. You won't see me jumping up and down shouting the wonderfulness about everything in this book. Once minute I would feel really great about everything that was being said, and the next I would be straight up angry. However, one this that I will say about this book is that it's worth trying to read. This book helped me get back to some of the routine practices that I did a while ago to better my overall health that I stopped doing because I thought I was "too busy". I feel hopeful about the world and about certain aspects of my life, which is really an accomplishment for me because I've been struggling to feel this way for a while.
I do not think that this book is for everyone, so if you don't think that this book would be a light in your life, skip over it. But, if you're interested or curious in any way, I don't think it would hurt to read :)
