I really enjoyed reading this story, but something was...idunno, lacking? I can’t place my finger on exactly what was missing from this book for me, but it felt abrupt at times, or like I felt like I had skipped a page at certain points or something. Anyways, this is an engrossing story. Aster is an excellent main character, and you easily see the structure of the Matilda as a reflection of our society.
