After reading Vengeance I was looking forward to Chaz’s story, but once I started it I kind of had mixed feelings about it. The story will build and then kind of crash at times, I found it hard to keep my interest because it would slow down so much.

I was not a fan of Jillian, she kind of annoyed me at times and was slightly immature, but I also get with everything she has experienced can play a role in that. Chaz on the other hand was badass. Who know an assassin could be so sweet and caring. You could feel the love he had for Jillian throughout the story. This had a slow burn romance sort of feel to me because of the fact Jillian didn’t even know Chaz’s name until about 40% into the story or had they been face to face with each other. There is no denying their chemistry.

Despite the story being slow at times, I did enjoy it. Like Vengeance, it was dark and twisted, but there are also some things that may be triggers to many and could make this a difficult read. I can’t wait for Nick’s story!
