A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
This was a decent book. I love Hawke/Casteel and Poppy’s relationship. I loved watching it grow.
I love the relationship she has with other, Kieran, Jasper, Delano, Elijah.
But I did find this book a bit slow. I felt like it took until about 70, 75% for things to really pick up and get interesting. There was so much information in this book, so much theory that I felt it got bogged down. I guess it is necessary, especially after what happened in the first book, but I found it a bit much, and a bit confusing.
I also didn’t find it as smutty as so many people have said. Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve read much smuttier books and this isn’t that close to them.
But I liked where this book, and series is going.
Is it my favourite or one of them? No, but it is a solid read and I will continue.
