Everybody liked this book a lot, but I did not know what to expect from it somehow. Was it a heart-stealing contemporary? or was it more literature?

With all the loving reviews of this book, it was hard to believe it was not translated to Dutch yet, and after me and my fellow BlossomBooks ambassadors (2016) tipped this book to the publishers when they asked for tips to translate, they've decided to translate this and I'm so happy they did! I've already read the translation, it is not yet released, but that is one of the many perks of working in a bookstore ;) The translation is done very well!

I like this book a lot. It is not prestigious written. It is also written in a way that feels like really from the head of a 15 yo boy. It is messy and distracted and heavy and angry and everything you really feel and express as a teenager. I really love how well-done this is. This is a hard thing to do.

So why not 5*? I was a bit surprised by that myself as well, but it is because I did not really feel a close connection or bound with the main character. It just not gave me the 5* feels.

So, my subjective verdict of this book is a 4*, but as a bookseller and in an objective way, this is a 5* coming of age novel that I'm REALLY happy about that it is going to be on the Dutch market! Really, go and buy this book as soon as it is available!
