Homegoing

Wow, what a poignant book! I often have a hard time with multigenerational stories. The links often feel strained in these types of stories. I also expected two or three POVs. But Homegoing insteads weaves a tapestry of narrative and illuminates themes from the stories of a family over the centuries. A really powerful read about family, the good, the bad, and what it takes to reconcile oneself to ones past and find home. It's a bit of a hard read at times, but very good.
