I really struggled with this book.  I wanted to like it SO badly, but there was so much complicated world building and unfamiliar terms plus so many neo pronouns that I'd never seen before that I couldn't follow the story because I had to re-read each line several times to understand what was happening.  It bummed me out.  I am NOT saying the author shouldn't have used the awesome spectrum of pronouns, just that it made it too hard for me to follow.
