Wicked White
by Michelle A. Valentine
ARC received via Netgalley for an honest review
A new series from Michelle Valentine featuring a sexy rock star? Yes Please!
Ace White and Iris Easton are the complete opposites attract couple. Rock star, struggling actress. But there is that fire, that spark between them.
It took me a while to connect with Iris. Not sure what it was, whether it was just the mood I was in whilst I was reading or what. But I did get there eventually with her.
Ace White/Johnson.... Yes, I could understand what he was feeling, why he does what he does. But holy heck he was such a jerk so much of the time, I don't know how Iris put up with him for so long. I don't care how sexy he was, I would have wanted to throat punch him for his attitude!
But again, that attraction between them had one heck of a pull. we have all been there, knowing the person is wrong for us, going to hurt us, but still we stick around - that is how it is with Iris and Ace.
I adored some of the secondary characters - particularly Birdie and Adele, but there are some I wanted to kick from her to Sunday! I like that dichotomy in the characters... good vs evil and all that.
I did feel that the end was a little rushed, however knowing that there is a second book in this series, I know we will be getting more.
I look forward to reading the next book
