I had never heard of the Tulsa race riots, so I really enjoyed learning about that time and palace through the lens of fictional characters. I sped through the second half of this book in one day, staying up to finish it. I enjoyed the mystery-plot line, but also the setting and rich characters, especially the 1921 storyline.
