The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
1.0

The story was about a girl named Lennie dealing with the grief of her sister's unexpected death. Four weeks after the death of her sister, she faced the biggest challenge of her life: she couldn't decide who to sleep with - the new guy in town or her sister's ex. She ended up getting the taste of both worlds, by making her grieving an excuse to justify her bad decisions. The book had a lot of potential but the author failed in creating a compelling storyline.

I hated this book mainly because of the extremely lame storyline and superficial characters. The writing was dry and the poems added nothing to the storyline, they were just there to remind us - the readers - that the girl, besides making out with guys, was actually grieving. I felt no symphathy for her, because the only thing she did was to think about boners and making out with the two men in her life. deperate much?
