Stupid Dirty
by Erin Russell
"This is where we belong. This is because he belongs to me."
Heartbreakingly beautiful, that's how I describe this book.
I was hesitant because the triggers are in the back but they contained spoilers so I pushed on and read without looking at them.
I am glad because the impact this had on me without knowing made this book that much more meaningful.
The topics in this book are always glossed over and not spoken about enough. Silas, ugh this poor boy and I say boy for reasons I will not explain because it would leave spoilers and I do not do spoilers. To say he needed a warm hug and to never be let go was apparent throughout but the saving grace was that right there was Cade.
Connecting with characters on a personal level always leaves a lasting impression that will make me remember a book and this is one of them.
There is a little of everything in this book that I absolutely love but what was unexpected was the spice and the freeness of it. Phew them scenes had me so excited because hell yes!
Cade & Silas are like a tetherball pole, Cade is the pole and Silas would be the ball and rope. Always there hanging on and keeping him connected.
I was hit unexpectedly for the heartbreak, I was tearing up but also angry and those emotions are always hard to swallow when you just know and agree with the character who is trying their hardest.
I can't & won't say much more because it would spoil it but if you read this, go in with an open mind and realize these are everyday issues to some.
For a debut novel from Erin this is an amazing start, I can't wait for Tristan's story and I know I will love that based off what we get at the end of this book. Those are my favorite!
