I love historical fiction. This one, I particularly enjoyed because it took place in Philadelphia, where I work. I ride past the location of Maddie's coffee shop most every day. It's so amazing to imagine the world that existed then, and it's humbling to know the tragic circumstances that people lived through in 1793.
