Everything He Couldn't
by Harlow James
This is the second book in the Newberry Springs series and follows Walker, the twin brother of the male main character of the first book in the series as well as Evelyn, the best friend of the female main character of the first book. It is a marriage of convenience, love after loss, and a single-parent story.
This book starts with a very heavy topic and I really enjoyed how Harlow still managed to make the book light and fun, without doing a disservice to the story's catalyst. I loved the chemistry between Evelyn and Walker and their family vibes with Kaydence. I flew through this book and I loved seeing the characters from the first book in the series as well as from Guilty as Charged, which is set in the same area. I cannot wait to also read the last book in the series about the last brother, Grumpy Gibson.
