Another winner from Catherine Cowles! This might be my favorite of hers yet. I absolutely loved Thea and Shepard. Thea interested me so much in the first book, and I knew her journey was rough but she was such a mystery. I had no idea how brave she was and what she was able to escape from. I admired Shep so much for being so patient and kind with her, because I knew it was going to take forever for Thea to trust a man again, even one like Shep. It's very evident how terrified Thea is, but Shep never wavered; he just cared for her and loved her through it and showed her what a real man could be like. He was just perfection and I'm so glad she got the man she deserved. I really loved the spice in this; the author is really stepping up her game in this area and I am a huge fan. As always, there is a lot of suspense and mystery, this time surroung Thea's ex, and I love a good romantic suspense book and Catherine Cowles never fails to deliver. The found family is so good in this book too, and I want to read everyone else's stories NOW. I loved this book!
