This Thing Between Us
by Gus Moreno
Content warnings:
If you are at all sensitive to gore, be aware, there is a lot of it in this book. And it's pretty graphic. Check the content warnings above for more detailed (spoilery) stuff.
I am...not sure what to do with this book. It was really interesting, but also super intense. It is full of grief and horror and unexplained happenings. I felt like I was descending into madness along with the narrator, especially towards the end of the book. The second person POV added another jarring layer to the whole thing, because I don't think I've ever read a whole book in second person before.
I'm left feeling slightly unsettled by this book, which I think might be the point. If you're a fan of horror, definitely read this one (and then come talk to me about it so you can explain it to me because I was kind of lost of parts of it).
