Carrie is one of my favorite horror movies (the original & the updated one) so I’ve been meaning to read the book for years and just never got around to it 🙈 It’s a very quick read and both movies follow the plot pretty religiously so I really liked that! I loved the way the story was told through mainly clips from articles and interviews but also first hand accounts from different characters! I think my only issue is that I don’t think I love the way Stephen King writes? Like the two stories of his I’ve read are great and super interesting but he very much writes like a privileged white man in the 70s, which isn’t a bad thing per say but just isn’t really my cup of tea either lol but overall I’m glad I finally got around to this one and it was perfect for spooky season!
