Steeped in 90s nostalgia, this little book is a fun look about how the Spice Girls influenced the children of that time and how that influence has affected their lives into adulthood.

- Bravo does a great job of recreating that warm fuzzy feeling that you get when remembering something fondly. As a child, I adored the Spice Girls and reading this book reconnected with six year-old me and let me relive some of the amazing fun of that time.

- This book discusses some serious topics such as feminism, how we judge women who try to make something of themselves, sex education, motherhood and politics. Despite the light nature of this book, these themes are not made light of and is a good thing.

- The chapter markers often had little skits or lists to lighten the mood or make the reader laugh. Some of these were great fun.

A fun read for any ex-kid who once dressed up as their favourite Spice Girl (Sporty was my pick) and danced around their living room singing along to Wannabe.
