While I loved volume 1, I liked volume 2. That's not a bad thing. There was something a little more incomplete in this book and maybe a tad tiring, especially in the first half. Oa seems constantly on the edge of catastrophe...when do the GLs ever get a day off? Ha! A long awaited resolve to a story dating back pre-New 52, namely the Alpha Lanterns, was blessedly concluded. We get a reimagined look at Guy's origin, which was cool. The major underlying plot here is the Guardians' manipulations...of the Corps, of Guy, of John's trial. It was all largely a set up to the Third Army crossover coming.
