The Innocents Abroad by Mark Twain
2.0

I couldn't finish this book. It's so long-winded, and full of lengthy descriptions of cathedrals, tombs, monuments, city streets, parades, and endless glasses of wine. Ugh. It took me forever to wade through all the verbose descriptions.
I was hoping for more anecdotes and funny stories, but the writing is 90% description. There are a few little stories and anecdotes sprinkled in, and a few funny lines, but not nearly enough to keep me interested.
Mark Twain is much better at writing fiction than non-fiction travel.
