The Memory of Her
by Bianca M. Schwarz
challenging
mysterious
medium-paced
This was a third installment in this series. There is some backstory that I feel I missed out on without reading books 1 or 2.
Eliza and Allen work for the British Crown as spies. Allen is in captivity by some Russian baddies at the beginning of the story and he gets rescued. But the danger follows him home. It's up to Eliza and Allen and some confidantes to figure it how to keep Allen safe.
This book is kind of non stop action but also at a slower pace. I like how all the different characters work with each other and trust each other. Even though I don't know much backstory, it was fun seeing Allen and Eliza fall in love (though Allen was already there)
