Holy wow this book was awesome! I was hooked right from the get go as Scarlett and Tella are trying to escape from their abusive father, both thinking they know they best way. And then there's Caraval ....

Let me say this. I expected to be totally disappointed by this book. I expected it to be like The Night
Circus and Freeks where you expect it to be all amazing and magical yet you keep waiting for the magic to happen. The book is still good but it's not what you really anticipated.

Caraval was just as magical and spectacular as you would expect it to be! And the characters were perfect! I didn't expect Scarlett to grow on me the way she did but she ended up being a much better character than I expected! I really don't know how to describe this book anymore without giving things away so I'll just say that I thought it was amazing and I highly recommend reading it!
