Circumstances have Aslan and Quaid back working a homicide case together. A case which hits very close to home for Quaid which uncovers secrets that feed into his insecurities and vulnerabilities.
These totally opposite men have not had any interaction for over a month but the chemistry and UST between them still sizzles and sparks which slowly builds to some much needed steamy stress relief for them both as the investigation progresses. An investigation which has numerous twists and turns before leading to an arrest that I did not see coming.

Aslan is still all outgoing and sunshine to Quaid’s stoic and grumpy which on occasion causes Quaid to stifle/hide his grin or even laugh out loud! It’s great to see him slowly lower his walls and for Aslan to finally realises he has feelings for Quaid beyond just the bedroom. They finally admit their feelings for each other, use the term “boyfriend” and go on a date. Not a HEA but very much a HFN.

This is an ‘un-put-downable’ book that had me hooked from the very start to the jaw dropping final line. A great cast of characters combined with an intriguing plot blended together beautifully by the story telling ability of this author makes for a remarkable read.
