Liars and Liaisons by Sav R. Miller
5.0

A Pan and Echo myths inspired story about a girl who finds herself being blackmailed by her ex’s brother after kissing him mistaking him for someone else... and this musically gifted but definitely unhinged guy will do whatever it takes to keep her. Violet has a lot riding on her, from constantly trying to clear her father’s debts that he placed in her name, at risk of not only her family being killed or worse, and the guilt that she has from her estranged step brother who is deadly himself. Violet is spiraling from one job to the next, just trying to get by, and after her ex Nate dumps her after finding out who her brother is, she is determined to win him back at a gala she heard he’d be at.... except she runs into someone she never expected.... Grayson. Grayson is the youngest of the James boys and is the brother of Nate. Grayson was a professor of musical composition until his star pupil died and he blames his twisted family, and especially his brother for her death. He is haunted by her, he can’t write, he can’t do anything with music, and with his reputation and career riding on it... he’s going mad. It doesn’t help that from the moment he laid eyes on Violet with Nate he has decided that she is the perfect way to get back at his brother and family... yet what he never expects is that she has become his muse and he isn’t ready to give her up to anyone. Grayson wants revenge, and he plans on trapping Violet with him in his secluded estate until he is ready to reveal her off to his brother... but the more time he spends with her the more he finds he wouldn’t mind if she ruined everything, in fact, he’d ruin everyone if she asked... but can they work out this complicated relationship between them or are their twisted families going to destroy them? This is the last and finale book of the Monster & Muses series and OH MY GOSH I LOVED IT. I absolutely adored how unhinged Grayson was when it came to Violet, man had it bad for her. I loved how both Violet and Grayson had their own issues, both wanting to work out their own plans and lives, yet when they’re together , the chemistry is off the charts and they can’t help but want to help the other. Gosh their romance was so good, and I loved seeing just how obsessed Grayson was with Violet. Violet is trying to just shoulder the world on her and Grayson is so wrapped up in his revenge, yet together they’re perfect for one another, she’s the muse he’s been looking for and he’s the monster who will take care of her unlike anyone else has ever done for her. This was such a fantastic read and I can’t wait to see what Sav R. Miller has in store next!!!
