Dust and Shadow: An Account of the Ripper Killings
by Lyndsay Faye
huh...well I definitely liked Jane Steele better. I think this book suffers from what most Sherlock Holmes retelling suffering from: the inability to write a Sherlock and a Watson which is sometimes doable if the retelling is Sherlock's daughter and Watson's son but that doesn't work in this situation. It's an enjoyable mystery but the characters are not Sherlock and Watson which was so annoying to me.
