As always, Abby Jimenez knows how to write a tear-jerker full of characters who are so easy to love. While Just for the Summer wasn't my top AJ book. I really enjoyed it. The only difference between this and other books is that it did take me until the 50% mark to feel like I was really getting into the story. The first 50% felt like... fluff. It didn't feel like AJ's normal writing to me. but then the last 50% hit and hit hard and I was crying and unable to put the book down.

While it did take me a while to warm up to the FMC/MMC, I loved them both by the end of the book. Of course, I loved all of the side characters and the fun easter eggs from the previous books.

Already, I'm excited for Abby's book next year!
