Hilda's home is attacked by disgruntled elves. These invisible little people are determined to force Hilda and her mother to move away, and Hilda is just as determined to make peace with them, and maybe befriend them. At the same time, a massive giant as big as a mountain appears near Hilda's home every evening at midnight, staring around and then disappearing into the night. It will take all Hilda's ingenuity and courage to solve the mystery of the giant, and achieve peace with the little elves.

I love it so much! Hilda and her mother are amazing and quirky and fantastic. Beautiful artwork, imaginative story, and a crazy world of magical creatures all make this series so special.
