Edit: the more I think of this one, the more I did not like it.
While it was a perfect escapist read to pick up while in COVID isolation, I don’t think it was good
I am a bit confused on why the publishing industry is throwing so much weight behind it because it’s no masterpiece. I’m guessing it got the marketing dollars because the author is a editor at Knopf and just bought like a $4 million place in NYC?
Would recommend for: COVID/other illness isolation and vacation reading.
Audiobook narrator was one of my favorites, Marin Ireland.
Another redeeming quality is that it sold in under a day on Pango
