We Met in December by Rosie Curtis

2.5/5 (audiobook)

This book was...okay. I didn't love it, but I am not mad that I listened to it.

I think the biggest thing for me that made me not love it was the way in which it was written. The story was supposed to take place in the timeline of a year, so the plot was expected to be pretty quick-paced. However, the plot felt really underdeveloped for me, and it didn't seem like the characters were really growing all that much, if at all. The main characters, Jess and Alex, were very static and kind of boring.

I had hoped the plot was going to be interesting as we follow this group of housemates throughout the course of a year. I was expecting it to be fun, fast-paced, and developed. Instead, it just felt dull, fast-paced, and meh.
