This book began great, telling about the Benefits, which included peace, relief, tranquility, focus and concentration. I was particularly interested in the peace and tranquility!

It went on to explain the 7 chakra system and mantras, which I knew nothing about. It even got into the history of meditation and the neuroscience of it. To be honest, even reading about it had a relaxing affect on me.

The book finishes up with some meditation practices and some yoga you can do. It was very practical, easy to understand and helpful.
