I loved the first book in this series, The Bromance Book Club. I was really excited to get to this one. With my library hold winding down to a few days, I decided to really get after it. I was able to finish with hours to spare. This is really a pretty fast read.

This book focuses on Thea’s sister, Liv and Braden Mack. I was a little unsure about the characters because I wasn’t the biggest fan of Liv in the first book. She just didn’t seem like a very nice person. I went in giving her the benefit and I still wasn’t the biggest fan of her. She’s really angry and snarky. The snark I really enjoyed but the anger not so much. She was just so off-putting and you really didn’t see much growth until the end of the book. It takes a long time and it makes it quite a journey.

I loved Braden Mack! He’s funny and is just looking for THE love of his life. What I love best about this book are the male friendships. They are such an eclectic group of guys but they make for such a fun group! I found that I flew through the parts where they were all together. The RUSSIAN/vlad needs his own book! Oh my gosh.. I love him so much more in this one!!

There’s a lot of hard topics in this book, which is fine. The thing is that there’s a ton of miscommunication and secrets and that kind of drives me crazy in plot lines. “I know, I should tell him/her but when the time is right.” Guess what? The time is never right.. sigh..

Overall, this was an enjoyable read. I eventually liked Liv a little bit more. Honestly, I was in love with most of the new characters more than anything! Hop was just so great… haha!
