reviewing and rating translations is always tricky for me.
how much of the original style was lost? how much was changed? how much can be translated in the way the author intended and still have it make sense in the language it’s translated into?

this book is a very good example of those things.

the story felt very disconnected and maybe not underdeveloped but underdescipted(?) to me?

or maybe it’s just that the way the short stories in the book are build up didn’t work for me?

i don’t know.

something didn’t click with me here.

it could be the writing style with is very academic feeling -dry, direct, and could use a little more emotion to really make the reader feel what one might feel to want to go back in time- and non of the characters stood out to me.

i like the idea and i might reread this in the future to see if i just wasn’t on the right mood.

but for now, sadly it didn’t work for me
