Filthy Rich Vampire by Geneva Lee
4.0

I will admit that particular reviews made me question if I would enjoy this book despite the connection I made with the synopsis. ESPECIALLY because the reviews had spoilers WITHOUT a spoiler warning (the box is right there, how hard is it to check the “this review has spoilers” box? Seriously?!). I’m glad I follow the old adage of “don’t trust anyone information but your own” (IYKYK) … had I trusted the review I would’ve been less likely to read this book which would’ve been disappointing because I really enjoyed it.

FRV is a new take on what we know the world of vampires to be in other novels. And the relationship that blossoms between Julian and Thea is one that not only pools with steam and lust. But has a level of intricate care that is sometimes lost.

Given that this is a series I think this is a good opener. It gives us the conflict upfront so we know what we have to solve and as the pages turn we’re presented with all the things that will make it harder to solve them. Especially once you get to the end.

If you’re expecting an ending tied up in a nice pink bow with all of your questions answered as you go into book two, put this book down because you won’t find it here.

But!! If the slow burn of an urban paranormal romance between the fated mates of a human a vampire with more money than most of us will see in a lifetime and an absolute cliffhanger sounds like your jam, then this book is for you.
