okay so this book drags a bit up until alan prescott makes it to the cabin, and then it really picks up! i found the characters lovable and the issues they face relatable, and i loved the queer representation (especially with the rorschach test line from andrew). i think the way alison cochrun tackles mental health in both of her books is commendable and makes me feel seen. also, that smut scene was 10/10. stick with it if you think it’s a little slow or dull to start, i think it just requires a lot of backdrop to get into it. i just loved the relationships developed within the entire kim-prescott extended family. this review makes no sense but ah!
