Her Shirtless Gentleman by M.Q. Barber
4.0

I really enjoyed reading Her Shirtless Gentleman - and the way the book gets its title is just too darn cute ... like a lot of the book actually. Eleanora is out of an emotionally abusive marriage, really insecure but hoping she is ready to start dating again. But it has been so long she isn't sure of the rules anymore and her confidence is severely dented, thanks to her husband.. She's also out there with younger women, coworkers who really aren't anything like her, so they aren't exactly on the same page when it comes to looking for men. Luckily for her, because of unfortunate circumstances she's thrown together with the absolutely awesome (and gentlemanly) Rob.

Rob is in his mid-30s & way past flings and Eleanor is just the kind of woman he can see himself spending the rest of his life with. Because she's still dealing with issues from her marriage, though, he has to take it slow and put a lot of thought into wooing her ... which he does beautifully. His dates show imagination and care and that he pays attention to the woman he's with. I loved it! We could all be so lucky :)

If I have any complaints, it is with Rob actually. As wonderful as he is, I think that he comes off just a little desperate for a wife. If it had just been Eleanor that he was like that with then I would be OK with it, but he mentions that some of his previous relationships ended because he started talking marriage too quickly. I've got nothing against a man who is interested in commitment, but that just didn't sit all that well with me. But it was minor and the only thing I had a problem with so it was easy to get over.

Sweet and full of emotion, Her Shirtless Gentleman gives readers a uplifting story about a woman discovering herself again and the man who supports her while she finds her confidence.
