This book has it all: drugs, sex, slavery, emotional and physical abuse, eating disorders, deception, and even a coup. And it all takes place in the Palace of Versailles. However this Palace of Versailles is monitored Big Brother style in this futuristic society. The Palace is its own city in Paris, owned and run by a giant corporation, and those lucky enough to live in the Palace live the way Marie Antoinette did in her prime, but with the added bonus of futuristic technology. Not all is as it seems, however, and the future queen wants out, which proves more difficult than she'd hoped, and she quickly discovers that not all that glitters is gold.
