The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
by Suzanne Collins
This was a good book, but not really a nice one, to me. Which doesn't make it not worth a read at all, it's just that, due to it's subject and main character it's not a very positive thing to read, which I usually do want, since I mainly read as a form of escapism, I guess.
Still, this was well written, well thought out and the character development was also well executed, considering how the MC ends up in the original trilogy.
I sometimes found the hints to, and parallels between the trilogy and this one a bit too much, too many maybe, but on the other hand some were fun too so, I dunno :P
