Things heat up in this volume as we have our characters being pushed past their limits.

While the end of the final fight is a surprise it is a bit goofy how they move on. But the highlights of this volume are Yusuke showing who he really is and readying to unleash his new power. Hiei also gets a chance to shine as he goes toe to toe with two fights and gets to show off his sick moves. Kurama steps up last and his new appearance is one for the ages.

Overall, great stuff. This is when Yu Yu Hakusho becomes one of the GOAT animes. A 4 out of 5.
