The basis for this volume is Peter remembering Gwen, when they first got together and his missed opportunities because he's Spider-Man. It was filed with emotion, and even though we already know the story, seeing it in this form makes Spider-Man more human. Plus, the art was stunning, reminiscent of early Spider-Man stuff.
