This is a really excellent audio drama. It is funny, thoughtful, chaotic, entertaining and constantly surprising. The combination of Peri, Erimem and the fifth Doctor always worked really well (my favourite Big Finish era) and their chemistry comes through really strongly in The Kingmaker. The writing is great. It is comedy and you frequently have to suspend disbelief and ignore logic, but it works wonderfully. One of the best Big Finish dramas I have listened to to date.
