And Then You
by Briar Prescott
It was going to be hard coming off of Until You and it's 5⭐️ perfection, but this did not disappoint. I loved the characters, there was still the amazing banter, and some drama to make things interesting.
Steph and Quinn have known each other through mutual friends and never have gotten along. After a night of drowning his sorrows, Steph accidentally stumbles into a lie with Quinn and his family, and is now Quinn's "boyfriend". As the spend more time together, Quinn starts to think there's more to Steph than the image he projects to everyone. Quinn makes it his mission to get Steph to open up and show his true self.
Steph is a bit of a mess, but he's really a kind person who's struggling with his past. I love that Quinn saw through everything and took the time to get to know him, even when Steph didn't make it easy. They have the best banter, Steph is so funny. They both have trust issues and trouble being themselves, but were able to find a safe space with each other.
This was a bit of a slow burn so I didn't really feel a ton of chemistry until they got together. When they did it was amazing and I was pretty invested. The back and forth, hate/like thing between Steph and Quinn just dragged on a littleee too much for me.
I was so happy to see Jude and Blake again! As well as Nora and Blair. I'm not sure if there's another book for this series but I'm really interested in whatever Briar Prescott publishes next.
