I was provided a copy of this from NetGalley for my honest review. This was a beautifully written book that I was sad to finish reading it. Irina Bazil is a troubled young woman hiding from her own horrible past. Irina goes to work at Lark House nursing home where she meets resident Alma Belasco and her grandson, Seth. Due to mysterious letters and gifts, Irina and Seth discover the love story that has spanned many decades between Alma and Ichimei Fukada, a gardener's son. Meeting as children, Alma and Ichimei have a love that has withstood separation, marriage to others, children, and even death. This was a beautiful love story.
