The Last Word
by Taylor Adams
The last word was the pick for my July Read-A-Long.
This book was a stressful read for me. I felt immersed into the book with main character Emma. I felt her stress and anxiety while reading even though it was written in a 3rd person narrative.
The switch between the narrator and the author version of the events was different and I really liked it. The unreliable narrative of the author added a layer of suspense that had me wanting to read ahead of schedule.
