If I had read a physical copy, I would trade it for a bagel at my used book store. I thought it was never going to end. Half the time it felt like a summary of a plot and not an actual plot. 

I disagree with the horror tag. Tense or a thriller, yes, but not horror.

Anyway if you want a book like this but Dark And Actually Horror, read The Monk by Matthew Gregory Lewis.
